Great news for us, Tommy does not have to go to NTC this go around. Super excited about this. January will keep us super busy, more so then normal. I'm healing from my surgery nicely and feel blessed that Tommy is able to be home for the month to help me. Hannah has her surgery next week, she is not happy with this but I'm hoping it will stop all the strep she has had the past few years. And her daddy will be here to take her and spend time with her as well. Aunt Lee Ann will come spend the day with Jonathan which is a huge relief off us. Thanks Aunt Lee Ann. Jonathan has started his ABA Therapy so we are getting into the swing of our new year nicely. Four days a week is a lot but will also hopefully put us in the right direction we need to be in.
The 18TH is our big day as to if they will do surgery on him, so we are saying our prayers and hope nothing has change and we get to keep up with our life as we have been. They let Tommy stay home in case we do have to face surgery and it will just make things so muc better then having to have him come home with a Red cross message. We are asking that everyone keeps the prayers coming so we don't have to face such a large surgery. I'm just blessed wit all the support we are getting from our families and friends. Thank you all for everything. I will update as we find things out. Everyday is something new in our home but it wouldn't be our home without all the excitement! God Bless and thank you all.

Update on my surgery
Was up early yesterday to get to my surgery. Seems as if everything went great. I talked their ears off, guess when I get nervous I do that. :} Ok I also like to take. Went to sleep in OR talking think I woke up talking. I can't sleep. My pain is a pain more then I thought he said it would hurt more today but being work up at 4am with pain and my back bleeding is not what I wanted. Hannah spent night off Bubby and Tom are having sleep out in other room. Kinda glad because I've been all over the bed tonight, well last night. One and half hour of sleep wont work for me. Will see if the pills I just took will knock me out some.Glad school starts tomorrow.
Today we have no appointments thank God. Tomorrow we start full force. Tom is suppose to leave Friday for the month hoping he gets out of it. With Hannah's surgery on the 13th and maybe Bubby's on the 18th it's going to be a crazy month here in the Spies house. Well just wanted to touch base. Bubby wanted me to share pictures of the Rat we have been watching while all the guys were on leave as well. She is a cutie. She likes to bite. The cat wants her and the dog wants them both! lol! Take care will write soon.

Happy New Year 1-1-11
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! We are so happy 2011 is here and we start a new journey with the new year. I hope everyone had a wonderful time bringing in the year. The kids and us watched the ball drop together with a toast! They made it to 1am, and Tommy until 2am. I myself am still wide awake as normal. My body just wont relax enough to go to sleep early. I'm sure sooner or later I'll just crash and sleep for weeks. If I could fit that in I would love to do so. It seems my only down time is late in the nights so I'm just doing what I need to do to make it. You close your eyes but that's when everything starts making you think. I do believe you can think to much at times. I think the mind gets over loaded. Well once again Happy New Year to all..........

Goodbye 2010
Well the end of the year is here and I'm not too sad to see it leave! We have had a lot of ups and downs but we are together so I guess we can not complain. Tommy has been home for over 2 1/2 years, the longest since 2003 so I feel blessed. And he should not deploy again until the end of the new year.
It seems the year started off going in the right direction. Then I had surgery in March and ended up going in and out of the hospital for a few weeks, so that messed up the house for a bit. Still dealing with the results of the surgery but things are getting better, at least I'm looking at it that way. But a new year will bring more surgery and things should start getting better all the way.
Jonathan had two appointments which went well today. So now we have a four day weekend and we are going to do nothing. It snowed all afternoon and it is very cold and nasty out. I forgot how crazy these people drive, they must be from VA., that's for my family. :} I have surgery on Monday and Tommy leaves on Thursday for the month. Hannah's surgery is on the 13Th we are a bit sad daddy wont be here, but mommy will make sure she gets a special gift for being so strong. She has really grown up this year, makes me sad because I still want her needing me to help her with everything. It seems she changed over night, I knew it would happen but still hard to take. I'm blessed with her because I know she has a good head on her and will make something out of her life.
Jonathan's next MRI is the 18TH, they said if anything has changed they will keep him and we will go from there. Very stressful month. The hardest is not having Tom here to help. If the do surgery on Jonathan we can get Tom home but it will take a few days.I'm sure people are wondering if they can bring him home if Jonathan has surgery why he can't stay with Hannah having surgery but it's a major surgery and a lot will happen so it makes a difference. I really wish he could stay but he belongs to the Army before us. (well that's the way they look at it) I am keeping hope that everything is the same and we can relax a little. I'm not sure if we will ever be relaxed but I think everyone can understand what I mean.
January will be super busy for us but It's a start of the new year so I'm just going to go with it and put it in good hands, God's. I know he will watch over us. And I have some amazing family and friend who have really been here for us, even if they are far away they are here at all times.
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Years, stay safe and we hope get to see more of you this year. We will post again soon.

The video
Just to let everyone know that the video was made last year for Autism Awareness Day, they have another one that will come out on April 1, 2011, Bubby will be in that one as well. This one I just posted he is in the third song. Such a cutie. Hope you all take the time to watch it, a little long but worth it! Enjoy.
